How to Control Type 2 Diabetes

Controlling type 2 diabetes means keeping your blood sugar at healthy levels and reducing your chances of diabetes complications. There is no permanent cure of type 2 diabetes but it can be kept under control by eating right and exercising.


People with diabetes can do a lot to control their condition by maintaining a healthy lifestyle in addition to working with their concerned doctor. By improving your diet


Stop eating all refined sugars, processed foods and dairy products. Your diet should contain fresh whole grain foods high in fiber. These modifications in eating habits will help you to balance your blood sugar, reduce inflammation and help the body to produce required amount of insulin. A change in eating habit will help you to control your weight; this in turn will control your diabetes.

 

By exercising


Exercise has significant benefits with regards to improving the condition of diabetes. Regular exercises, even of moderate intensity such as walking, light aerobics improves insulin sensitivity. Obesity increases the risk of diabetes. Exercise improves the condition of obesity, thus decreases the risk of type 2 diabetes occurrence. Medications


There are several classes of anti-diabetic medications available for controlling the type 2 diabetes. Metformin and insulin in the form of injections and tablets are used to for this purpose. Other classes of medications used to treat type 2 diabetes are sulfonylureas, nonsulfonylureas, alpha glucosidase and thiazolidinediones. Generally all these pills have to be accompanied with insulin injections to maintain the glucose level.

 

By using herbs


Diabetes symptoms can be controlled with many herbal remedies. Various plants such as bilberry, salt brush and ginkgo biloba help in controlling blood sugar and also treat the side effects of diabetes.

All the above measures should be followed strictly to keep a check on type 2 diabetes. A proper diet and optimal exercise is necessary to control type 2 diabetes. A diabetic diet that promotes weight loss is also very important. Eating and living a heart healthy life is an essential part of controlling type 2 diabetes.

    my average diabetes for 3 month is avobe 9 i recenty say 3days took vigocil it reduced to 65 i feel uneasynes and sweting to what shoud i do
