
Hepatitis A infection is usually mild but you should call a doctor for Hepatitis A if any of the following symptoms occur:
- Nausea and vomiting which persist for more than 1-2 days.
- Your skin or eyes appear yellow.
- Urine becomes dark coloured.
- You have moderate to severe pain in the abdomen.
Seek medical advice for Hepatitis if:
- You develop symptoms suggestive of hepatitis A infection.
- You are exposed to someone with hepatitis A infection.
- You have medical problems which increase the risk of complications if you have hepatitis.
In case you are not able to consult your doctor visit an emergency department if you have:
- Frequent vomiting which prevents adequate oral intake.
- Severe pain in abdomen or high grade fever.
- Confusion, delirium, or difficulty in keeping awake.
