Fiber diet helps in weight loss by keeping you fuller for long. A high fiber is a diet which contains fiber in the amount of 25 -35 grams per day and generally contain roughage and plant material. A diet which is low in calories and fats but high in fiber rich foods helps you lower the cholesterol and decreases the blood pressure. Foods rich in fiber are green leafy vegetables, whole grains cereals or whole wheat products and fruits.Fiber rich diet also helps in aiding bowel function and prevents one from constipation.
