Sunil Sharma, fitness instructor, says that military press is among the oldest shoulder building exercises. To start military press, load a reasonable weight on a barbell. You may sit or stand with your feet apart in accordance with your shoulder width. Keep your back straight and hold the barbell with your knuckles facing you and hands apart at shoulder width. This is the starting position for the exercise. Bring down the barbell until your upper chest. Hold the position for few seconds and slowly raise the bar with your arms stretched completely. Do not arch your back or it may pain later. Beginners may repeat this exercise for 10-15 times.
