Lateral raise for toning shoulders

Fitness instructor, Sunil Sharma from the Maximum Fitness Academy, New Delhi, explains the steps to toning the shoulders with the help of lateral raise exercise. To do the lateral raise exercise, sit on a comfortable platform with your back straight. Grabbing hold of dumbbells on each palm, raise the hands on either side up to the shoulder. Inhale while lifting the arms up and exhale while coming down. Keep the body stable. Ensure that you lift your hands up without compromising on the stability or angle of your body. Repeat as long as you can. To do the exercise while standing, hold the dumbbells in front of your knees.
