Padangusthasana is derived from the Sanskrit word “pada” which means foot, “angusta” which means big toe and “asana” which means pose. This pose is easy and stretches all the body muscles from head to toe. Experts suggest avoiding this pose if you have lower back problem or neck injuries. Regular practice of this pose not only reduces stress but also stimulates the organs like liver and kidneys. It also helps the women undergoing menopause to manage its side effects.
