    Don’t Mistake it for Acidity

A person experiencing heart attack can easily mistake it for acidity and blame it on the lamb burger and large fries that they may have devoured at meal time. They could just gulp down an antacid and try to throw up in hope to clear the “indigestion”. But within minutes, they might feel an aggravated chest pain, worsennausea, stiff jaws, and terrible cold. It takes too late for them to realise that what they felt was a cardiac arrest. Chest pain can be a common sign of many other health issues. So how does one decipher a heart attack and other medical issues? Answer: Through some uncommon signs that a heart scare shows.

    Ceaseless Burping

This can again be misunderstood for a stomach or digestion problem but constant burping, especially while walking, could indicate a heart attack or angina. Just before you are about to get a heart attack, your blood gets redistributed to your intestines and stomach which cause the constant belching. Look out for it.

    Lasting Gum and Teeth Pain

If you have a periodontal or gum disease, you are at double the risk of suffering a heart attack than your counterparts with healthy gums. This is because the bacteria responsible for causing gum disease can also cause inflammation inside your body and damage blood vessels. Also, a pain in your heart can travel up to the jaw. You should never ignore a toothache or pain behind the ears.

    Poor Sexual Performance

If your heart isn’t functioning properly, it will affect your performance in bed. It is when the blood is pumped into a man’s phallus that he gets an erection. If his blood circulation is unsound, he can find it difficult to maintain an erection. And this connection between a heart disease and sorry sexual performance is based on clogged arteries. Plaque build-up in the arteries reduces the blood flow to phallus, making an erection difficult.

    Tiredness

Feeling tired occasionally is fine but if you feel fatigued all the day long and your performance in your daily chores suffers because of this, you must visit a cardiologist. Heart is the body’s blood pumping station and if it isn’t doing its work fine, the whole body can show signs of low output. Take an appointment with your doctor if you find it difficult to walk, climb stairs, drive or carry groceries, or just feel lethargy overpower you all the time.

    Chest Pain

This is one of the most common symptoms of a heart attack. A shooting pain in the chest should never be ignored. Because the same spinal segment supplies the heart and the left upper limb, you will feel a sharp pain in your chest and left arm when you are getting a heart attack.

    Chest Pain after a Meal

When you eat, the blood supply to your intestines increases in order to help them digest that food easily. For this purpose, the blood is diverted from the heart to the intestines which causes chest pain, especially if your arteries are blocked. A chest pain after a meal should be taken as a medical emergency.
