    Bhringraj, commonly known as false daisy, has been used by many mainly for its use in making hair oil. Bhringraj hair oil is an amazing hair treatment that solves many hair problems. But bhringraj has other amazing health and medicinal benefits too - it treats anaemia, skin diseases and common cold. If you don't get fresh leaves of the flower, you can try using the bhringraj powder, which is available at most ayurvedic stores. If you don't like to consume bhringraj powder, then try the bhringraj capsules, but prefer to use only the fresh flower. Here are seven amazing reasons you should start using bhingraj right now.

    For Healthy Hair

    Bhringraj oil has amazing hair benefits: it prevents hair fall, baldness and premature greying, strengthens hair roots, conditions them, prevents split ends, and stimulates hair growth. It is like a one-stop solution for all your hair troubles. Massage bhingraj oil well into your scalp and let it soak for at least 30 minutes. Shampoo as usual. The oil can be stored well for up to 3 months at room temperature.

    To Treat Baldness

    A simple hair pack made with bhringraj leaves can prevent baldness. Take a few fresh leaves from the plant, grind it to a paste along with a little yogurt and apply it to the scalp. Wait for 15 minutes before washing it off. The fresh leaves can be substituted with dried powder too. Bhringraj extracts have been proven affective in promoting hair growth. This hair pack is supposed to be used at least once in a week for best results. For this hair pack, both varieties of bhringraj plant can be used; the 2 varieties being: One which produces yellow flowers and the other which produces small white flowers.

    People these days frequently eat out which directly affects their liver. By adding bhringraj to our diet, we can keep our liver healthy. You can simply steam the finely cut and cleaned bhringraj leaves in a steamer and consume. If you don't like them bland, have it along with dhal or as a stuffing for bread, and chapattis. It can also be used as a substitute in any recipe that calls for spinach. Try to incorporate bhringraj into your diet at least once a week.

    Bhringraj leaves are amazing for treating skin-related diseases. The juice madeout of its leaves can be very effective in treating cracked heels, and minor skin allergies. Take leaves of the yellow bhringraj plant, wash and pound it in a mortar and pestle to get the juice. Apply this juice directly on the affected area, continuously for a few days to see results. This juice also helps in faster healing of wounds. Moreover, it is best applied when it's fresh.

    Take bhringraj leaves and extract the juice by pounding them in a mortar and pestle along with a little amount of boiled water and strain. Now add a few drops of honey to this strained mixture, which can be very effective in treating cold and cough. This remedy can be used for both children and adults and can be consumed once every day for best results.

    To Get Rid of Anaemia

    A simple homemade soup made with bhringraj leaves treats anaemia because of its high iron content. To make the soup, heat a little amount of homemade ghee in a pan and season it with cumin seeds. Once the cumin seeds splutter, add 1 finely sliced large onion, 2 finely cut garlic clove and then 1 small tomato; sauté well and add the bhringraj leaves. Once everything is fried well, season with salt and pepper, add water until all the ingredients are fully immersed and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Switch off the stove, mash the food with a hand blender and strain. Have it hot.

    In Dealing with Sinus Infection

    Sinus, being a naggy problem can be managed well. Take a handful of bhringraj leaves in a pan. Add some coarsely grounded peppercorns to it along with 3 pinches of organic turmeric powder. Add water and boil till it reduces in quantity and then strain. This home remedy works very well in treating sinus-related problems. Make sure that pepper corns are coarsely and not finely ground, else the mixture will be very spicy. This remedy can be used for young children too, but make sure you reduce the quantity of peppercorns before serving them.
