    Use Belly Flattening Clothes

What you choose to wear plays a significant role in hiding your belly. While choosing the fabric make sure you avoid lightweight knits, Lycra and other such fabrics that attract attention on your bulging belly. Instead, go for woven fabrics like woven cotton, silk or rayon blends. Choose dresses in which you can show off your arms and legs which will draw the attention away from the midsection. Use wrap dresses that create a waistline and show off a beautiful neck and bust.

    Avoid Soda

Swapping your soda bottle with a glass of water is always a good idea, especially when you want to sink in your belly. The bubbles present in carbonated drinks can poof up your belly instantly. So, the next time you feel thirsty, drink plain tap water and make sure that you drink at least eight glasses in a day. Another option to quench your thirst in a delicious way is to mix ingredients like ginger in your water which can soothe your GI tract.

Eat more Whole Grains and Proteins

Instead of eating refined carbohydrates, choose whole grains. This wise choice will not only keep you healthy but it will also help you lose the unwanted belly fat, says a study from Pennsylvania State University. In the study, dieters who ate whole grains were able to lose more than twice as much abdominal fat as those who did not eat. The primary reason behind this is that whole grains reduce the production of insulin, the hormone responsible for encouraging fat storage helping shedding belly fat.

    Eat Watermelon for Dessert

A study in the Journal of Nutrition suggests that the amino acid arginine found in watermelon can promote weight loss. The diets of obese mice were supplemented with arginine by the researchers for 3 months. It was found that doing so decreased the body fat gains by 64 percent. The presence of this amino acid in the diet can enhance the oxidation of fat and glucose and increase lean muscle, which burns more calories than fat does. During summer eat watermelon and in other seasons you can choose other sources of arginine like seafood, nuts and seeds.
