    What is a female condom?

    A female condom is a pouch like birth control measure which is used by women during sexual intercourse. It helps protect them against the risk of sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancy.

    What does it look like?

    It is a pouch with two rings at both the ends. While one end is open, the other one is closed. It is inserted inside the vagina before intercourse such that the ring at the open end stays outside the vaginal opening. The ring inside the vagina allows the pouch to adjust to the member during the intercourse.

    How does it work?

    Female condoms protect the women user from getting sexually transmitted diseases (STD) as well as unwanted pregnancies as they collect all the pre-cum and semen ejaculated during the intercourse. The pouch covers the inside of the vagina protecting it from the risk of getting an STD.

    Is it easy to use?

    Female condoms are not as easy to use as male condoms are however with practice it becomes very easy to use. While it feels a little strange during the first few uses, using a female condom can become very comfortable afterwards.

    How to use one?

    Since the female condom is interested inside the vagina one should start with a comfortable position. You can also put some lubricant on the closed end of the condom. Squeeze the ring at the closed end and insert it inside the vagina. Slowly push the pouch inside as far as you can and let the outer ring rest at the vagina opening.

    During intercourse

    Since the female condom is flexible and free to move sideways you can adjust the condom even during the intercourse as long as your partner has not yet ejaculated. You can even remove the condom from the vagina, lubricate it and insert it once again. However, this can only be done at the early moments of intercourse.
