    Marigold is considered very effective for quickly healing wounds. Marigold flower extracts provide quick relief from minor burns, scrapes and irritated skin. According to a recent research from Brazil, marigold flower has the ability to promote growth of new skin tissue and new blood vessels that feed the skin which in-turn helps speed up natural wound healing mechanism.

    Cancer Prevention

    According to a study published in the Journal of Nutrition, marigold contains antioxidants that have the ability to assist the fight against cancer and even delay or prevent cancer. Researchers have examined effects of lutein, an antioxidant in marigold flowers, on breast cancer tumours. The findings concluded that lutein not only reduced breast tumours but also prevented development of new cancer cells.

    Drinking marigold extracts with clean drinkable water is known to be quite effective in treating painful mouth and stomach ulcers. Marigold extract tends to stimulate lymphatic system which is why it can minimize swelling and cleanse toxins which may be contributing to ulcers.

    The petals of marigold flowers can be used to prepare curing baths by boiling them for some time before adding them to warm water for bath. Adding them to the bath tub can heal vaginal infections, bladder infections and haemorrhoids.
