    Reduced Risk of Prostate Cancer

    A study showed that if a man consumes tomato two or more times in a week, it reduces his risk of developing prostate cancer by almost 20 per cent. It happens because of lycopene, an antioxidant found in tomatoes which decrease the risk of cancer.

    Sperm Count Increase

    The same antioxidant that gives the red colour to tomatoes can boost the male fertitlity, according to a study that was published last year. It was found that this antioxidant could increase the sperm count up to 70 per cent, increase the swimming speed of the sperm and decrease the number of abnormal sperm.

    Improved Eyesight

    Ketchup contains vitamin A which helps in building a healthy immune system. Besides, being loaded with vitamin A, the ketchup tends to be highly beneficial for improving eyesight.

    Ketchup has very low carbohydrate content with less than 4 grams per serving. This makes ketchup healthier than other condiments like barbecue sauce which contains about 9 grams of carbohydrates in each serving.

    Ketchup has been found to contain a negligible amount of fat which is less than 0.1 grams per tablespoonful of serving. Ketchup also is free from saturated fat content that can contribute to cardiovascular diseases.
