    Don’t most of us just loves bananas yet know very little of their benefits? Bananas are not just delicious but also are cheap and available throughout the year unlike the other fruits. They pack a big nutritional punch and some scientists believe that bananas may have been the world’s first fruit.     Lowers Blood Pressure

    Increasing potassium intake helps lower blood pressure. The recommended intake of potassium for adults is 4700 milligrams per day; and one banana contains 450 mg of potassium.     Feed your child bananas, oranges, and orange juice in the first two years of his life; this may reduce their risk of developing childhood leukaemia. Bananas are good source of vitamin C, and can help combat the formation of free radicals known to cause cancer.     People eyeing weight loss must be raising eyebrows now. It has been a common fad that bananas work against your weight loss goals.  Bananas contain loads of fibre and low amounts of fat and they are also easily digestible. One serving of banana contains 110 calories, 30 grams of carbohydrate and 1 gram of protein. Bananas are naturally free of fat, cholesterol and sodium.
