Foods that you should avoid in winters

Winters can be real bummer sometimes with a gloomy weather and restrictions on eating habits. There are some foods that you should not eat in winters.

    Asparagus

    There are foods that are best eaten in spring and fresh asparagus amongst them. Research studies suggest against having light green color veggies in winter. Instead go for dark leafy vegetables like spinach and kale. As suggested by some studies, food that are light green in color are best in spring, when it is winter, you better go for something dark green instead.

    Cayenne Pepper

    Though, having spicy things may help cure your stuffy sinuses but can cause troubles for your tummy. Hot and spicy food is never a good choice for your stomach and also, it is advisable not to have any cold food if you have flu or cold.

    Corn cob

    So, corns only produce in springs and not in winter. If you are buying any corns in winters, know that you will be buying leftovers from previous season.

    Dairy

    Winters come with congested noses, cold and flu and dairy products can make it worse. So, try and avoid full cream milk, cream and processed cheese etc.

    Fish

    Fish are seasonal and some fish species are out of season during winters. There are some fish species to be strictly avoided during winter because they are not freshly farmed.
