    Vriksasana (The tree pose)

    Vriksasana is one of the easiest and ideal poses for melting away fat from your stomach. Stand on a yoga mat with your legs together. Transfer your weight on the left leg and raise the right leg towards knee of left leg. Place the heel of the right foot on the inner thigh of the left leg and gently raise your hands up straight.     Bhujangasana (The cobra pose)

    Bhujangasana is a pose that strengthens and elongates the stomach, to help you burn fat around the midsection. One has to lie on stomach with the forehead on the ground and hands underneath the shoulders. Lift the body off the floor using abdominal and back muscles.     Utkatasana (The chair pose)

    Utkatasana helps strengthen and tone the core muscles (thighs and buttocks). Stand straight with folded hands (in Namaste pose). Raise your hands above the head and bend your knees to get your thighs parallel to the floor.     Dhanurasana (The bow pose)

    Another yoga pose that is quite effective to burn fat is the bow pose. Lie on the floor upside down. bringing your feet towards your buttocks. Grasp the ankles with your hands. Lift your hips up and hold the pose for 5 seconds. (Image source:Getty images)

    Ardha chandraasana (The half moon posture)

    This pose is excellent to tone back, thighs and buttocks. To begin with, stand with your feet together. Raise your hands slowly above your head extending the stretch.     Veerbhadrasana (The warrior pose)

    Worried about fat accumulated on thighs, buttock and stomach? Veerbhadrasana is the pose for you. To begin with, stand with your feet together and hands by your side. Now extend right leg forward and left leg extended backwards. Bend at the right knee and twist the torso to face your bent right leg. Straighten your arms and raise your body up, away from your bent knee. Thereafter, stretch your arms upwards while tilting your torso backwards so that the back forms an arch. Stay in the pose for at least 5 seconds before getting back to the start position. Repeat with the second leg. (Image source:Getty images)

    Apanasana (Knees-to-chest pose)

    Practicing this pose will help you get rid of fat around midsection. Lie down on the floor. Pull your knees to your chest and exhale. Hold the pose for about 15 seconds. Moving knees from side-to-side maximizes the stretch. (Image source:Getty images)
