    Olive oil for anal fissures

    Olive oil is loaded with healthy monounsaturated fats that provide lubrication to your bowel system, thereby allowing the stool to pass with no trouble. According to a study published in the Scientific World Journal, patients with anal fissures reported reduced pain, bleeding and itching after using a natural remedy prepared by mixing olive oil, honey and beeswax. If you are also suffering from anal fissures, you can prepare this remedy easily at home. All you have to do is mix equal amounts of olive oil, honey and beeswax in a bowl. Now place this bowl in a microwave until the beeswax used in the mixture melts completely. Allow the mixture to cool down and then apply it on the affected area. It is more effective if used few times in a day.  Try this remedy for couple of weeks.

    Aloe Vera for anal fissures

    All of us know about the healing and pain-relieving properties of aloe vera but did you know it can also be used to heal anal fissures and help repair damaged skin tissue. Don’t be so surprised, because a study published in the European Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences back this claim. According to the study, application of a topical cream containing aloe vera juice can effectively cure chronic anal fissures. Remove an aloe vera leaf from its plant and slit it with a help of a knife. Now using a spoon scrape out the gel. Apply this gel on the affected area, few times a day to see a real difference.

    Coconut oil for anal fissures

    Another natural treatment for anal fissures involves use of coconut oil as it is loaded with medium-chain triglycerides that can easily pass through your skin, thereby keeping the affected area lubricated. This finally leads to the healing process. Application of coconut oil on the anal sphincter couple of times in a day is supposedly good for curing anal fissures. However, if you have chronic anal fissures, you will need to apply it several times a day to get the desired results.

    Flax seeds are loaded with fiber and omega-3 fatty acids that help ease your constipation, which often results in irritating anal fissures. These seeds also have laxative property that helps you ease the strain during a bowel movement. Take a tablespoon of flax seed powder and mix it in a glass of water. Drink this solution on regular basis before going to bed to regulate your bowel movements.
