These foods may already be present in your diet. If not, they are widely available in markets and grocery stores.

    Avocado

    Avocado, also known as the beauty fruit since it is the perfect fruit to include into your diet for protecting and balancing your hair and skin. It delivers nourishing natural oils and other benefits. You can simply mash up a couple of avocados into a mud and apply to hair or skin. The vitamin A in avocado adds sheen to hair, vitamin B balances oil production, whether your skin and hair are too oily or dry, and vitamin E protects and repairs sun and pollution damage.

    Tomatoes

    Tomatoes are rich source of lycopene, a powerful antioxidant, which improves the skin's ability to protect against harmful ultraviolet rays. As a result Lycupene reduces the chances of wrinkles and sunburns. It's highly recommended that your daily diet contains at least 16 milligrams of lycopene, which can easily be obtained from tomatoes.

    Clavonals, the antioxidants in cocoa powder reduce roughness in the skin and protects it against any possible sun damages. Regular consumption of cocoa powder can make your skin smooth and moisturized. A good cocoa regime helps to increase the microcirculation and oxygenation of the skin making it less susceptible to UV damage.

    Sunflower oil extracted from seeds of the sunflower plant is used in various cosmetic purposes. The oil contains omega-6 fatty acids which keep the cell walls of the skin supple and soft allowing water to reach into it. There have been lot of researches done on its usage which suggest that consuming sunflower oil can help ease sin disorders like dry skin, acne, inflammation and dermatitis.

    Spinach, a natural antioxidant power house, can slow down the aging process. Spinach contains many nutrients and vitamins that can support acne healing process. The most useful vitamins present in spinach are vitamin A, C, E, and K. The presence of spinach in your diet can ensure healthier skin.

    Skin requires special attention since anything that blocks the pores can cause infections and skin problems like acne, black heads etc. Flax seeds are packed with omega-3 fatty acids which help in keeping the pores clean and remove spots and lines. According to a study people who have about half teaspoon of omega- 3 acids daily for around six weeks tend to have less skin irritations and redness. A healthy diet that includes flax seeds can bring a noticeable change to the skin.

    Almonds are one of the best food sources of vitamin E which is an important antioxidant for your skin.  Eat whole almonds as a snack or add sliced almonds to salads, cereal and these will help clear out toxins and free radicals from the body. Just make sure you eat them in moderation, since almonds and other nuts are calorie-dense.
