Not all cardio machines are as effective or even safe as you think they are. Keep in mind these best and worst cardio machines to make the most of your time at the gym.

    The treadmill is simple yet effective! It allows you to move at your own pace. Just start and adjust the speed accordingly. To get the most out of a treadmill, let go of the handles and move like you would when you jog.

    Stationary bike

    Stationary bike is as good as cycling to build your endurance and improve overall health. Most modern machines come with modes to make constant changes in intensity, incline, and speed.

    Elliptical trainer

    Elliptical is a machine that can help you achieve greater calorie burn and save time. The machine gives you all the heart-pumping benefits with low-impact movement.

    Lat pull-down machine

    Behind the neck lat pull downs have become quite popular lately. If used in the right manner, it trains lats, upper back and biceps. There is no problem with the machine but the movements are difficult to do correctly unless you have very flexible shoulders. Better avoid it to keep shoulder injury scare away.

    Stair climber

    Stair climber or stair steppers can lock you in unnatural movement patterns. The bad mechanics used in the exercise can lead to joint issues in future. You may be able to tone glutes and thighs with the help of the machine, but it may also cause these muscles to increase in size, which may be undesirable.
