    While the temperature is on a tremendous rise, some sumptuous summer food and drink recipes can refresh and brighten your mood. When the scorching sun leaves you drenched in sweat and with very less energy, revive yourself with the below given recipes.

    Salmon with Mango Masala

    When the summer heat takes a toll on your mood, grab a salmon along with some mangoes and prepare a refreshing recipe. Take curry leaves, garam masala, mustard seeds and asafoetida (Hing) and grind all the ingredients. Prepare a grill by pre-heating it at medium-high. Rub some oil on each salmon fillet and sprinkle the grinded spices on them. Cook the fillets for 5 minutes from one side and for another 5 minutes from the other side. Mix mangoes with mango juice, coriander leaves, red onion, lime juice, some garam masala and salt. Leave it for 5 minutes and serve the salmon with mango masala.

    Stuffed Peppers

    Fill red and yellow peppers with delicious stuffing without spending much time in the kitchen. Take mashed potatoes and mix them with chopped spinach, cooked brown rice, grated ginger, pomegranate powder and salt and mix them well. Preheat the oven at 425 degrees. Make a hole in the peppers by cutting off the head and removing the seeds. Fill in the potato mix and place the peppers in the oven for 40-45 minutes.

    Papaya and Soybean Salad

    This perfect recipe for summers is soothing and refreshes you instantly. All you need to do is just heat a frying pan and add some grape seed oil to it. Add some curry leaves, coriander and salt to taste and the sauté the mixture for a minute. Mix soya beans and cook for 3 minutes and let it cool for some time. Take large pieces of papaya in a salad bowl and add cooked rice and the soya bean mixture to it. Add some more salt, pepper and lime juice and mix it properly. Your healthy meal is ready.

    Potato Salad

    Take a frying pan and fry onion and garlic on medium-high flame for 3 minutes. To this, add mustard seeds, turmeric, cardamom seeds, curry leaves, cumin seeds and salt. Add diced potatoes, sour cream, tomatoes and water. Stir the entire mixture well and cook it till potatoes turn soft. Serve your salad with rice or breads.

    Rice Pudding

    Cook brown rice and add almonds, raisins cardamom, cloves, salt, milk, honey. Stir the mixture in a frying pan till it comes to boil. Keep stirring at a low flame till the milk is absorbed. Once the mixture has thickened, serve the pudding hot and garnish it with fruits like mangoes or berries.

    Hung Curd Dip

    Take curd and wrap it on muslin cloth till all the water is drained out. Now add garlic, onions, capsicum, green chilies, cucumber, red chili flakes, oregano, salt and pepper. You can use this dip while you munch on snacks during a hot summer evening.

    Frozen Orange Drink

    This refreshing drink will give you relief from the heat. All you need is an orange and orange juice. Remove the tops of the oranges and remove the fillings. Now blend the juice and place it inside the orange shells. Freeze it and have it to fulfill your body’s hydration requirements.

    Lime Water

    Squeeze a lemon and a dash of sugar and a pinch of salt to it. Blend the mixture for some time and then add chilled water. Stir the liquid properly and you are ready for your dose of refreshment.

    Berry Ice

    Put some berries and white grape juice in a blender. Strain the mixture and then add maple syrup, lemon juice and salt to it. Put the mixture in a pan let it freeze for 1 hour. Remove it and scrap the edges and let it freeze again. Again scrap the edges and freeze for another hour and serve it when the mixture freezes completely.

    Iced Green Tea

    To prevent yourself from dehydration, avoid consuming caffeine. Try green tea instead which has minimal amount of caffeine and contains anti-oxidant properties. Bring water to boil and add green tea to it. Let it cool down and add ice cubes and honey to your refreshing drink.

    Cucumber Mint Smoothie

    Put some diced cucumber in a blender along with mint leaves, ice cubes, yogurt, water, chat masala and black salt. Blend the mixture and serve it cold.
