Along with pain in muscles and joints, the most common symptoms of fibromyalgia are fatigue, stiffness in muscles in morning time, headaches, and painful menstrual periods, troubles in falling asleep, irritable bowel syndrome and sensitivity to temperature. Although there are no cures or treatments for Fibromyalgia but surely there are certain home remedies for fibromyalgia pain. There are drugs that are suggested to ease the pain of fibromyalgia but since natural remedies are always a better choice than chemically induced drugs. Yes, natural remedies for fibromyalgia can ease the pain caused because of fibromyalgia.

    As you may be aware that most of the pains can be eased with massage, regardless of the cause, pain of fibromyalgia can also be eased with right technique of massage. Massage is obviously a natural remedy and the safest option for the pain caused in muscles and joints because of fibromyalgia. As this condition causes stiffness in muscles; fatigue in body and pain joints, right massage can relieve the stiffness, fatigue and pain from the joints.

    Melatonin to sleep

    As we told you earlier that there are no cures for fibromyalgia but surely if something can relieve the sufferer from the muscle and joint pain, it could be an alternative remedy. Now, melatonin is a natural hormone that is found in our body and can promote sleep and sleep can be one way to lessen at least some amount of fatigue, ache and other symptoms of fibromyalgia. Although there are no evidences on the same as fibromyalgia’s chronic pain can be much more severe and might not be an easy thing to cure with just sleep. Melatonin is also available in pill form and often taken to fix sleep related issues.

    Clothing for fibromyalgia

    Fibromyalgia can cause involuntary pain on regular basis. The prime cause of pain is fibromyalgia itself but not many people are aware of the fact that clothing can be a major factor in causing the pain. Yes, the sort of clothing that you choose to wear can promote and sometimes induce the pain of fibromyalgia. Experts suggest that people suffering fibromyalgia can suffer from a condition where even light touch can be painful and the phenomenon is known as allodynia. So, it would be better for a fibromyalgia sufferer to wear clothes with light fabric and with a slightly loose-fitting. Tight clothes can trigger pain or aggravate the pain.

    Dose of Vitamin D

    People who generally suffer from the chronic pain of fibromyalgia have low levels of magnesium and vitamin D. Although there is no evidence that taking supplements of vitamin D and magnesium is a potent treatment of fibromyalgia but surely there are some effects on muscle, joints and nerve functions and then there are studies that suggest that chronic pain of fibromyalgia is associated with low levels of magnesium and vitamin D and as the studies also reveal that taking supplements of vitamin D can improve fibromyalgia symptoms.
