How you start your day, plays a major role in how you will spend the rest of it. Some elements of Ayurveda have so much to offer when it comes to healing and preventive health that when these are incorporated in the routine, they yield radical results.

One of the most effective ways in which you can explore more about this ancient practice is by including some of its simpler elements into your day. Ayurveda vouches to give your day a kick-start by focusing on morning rituals that will boost your self-esteem  alongside balancing all the doshas.     Wakeup before Sunrise

    Step out of the comfort of your bed at least 20 minutes before sunrise. It is during these early hours of dawn that the vata energy flows in the atmosphere. If waking up at 4 a.m. makes you cranky for the rest of your day, at least try to wake up by 6 a.m.. Once you have developed the habit, these early morning hours will start feeling more natural and it will become easier to clean your bowels.

    Clean your Tongue

    Ayurveda promotes general tooth and gum health. Therefore, it suggests removing bacteria and toxins that are responsible for periodontal problems such as plaque buildup, tooth decay, loss of teeth and gum diseases. Tongue scrapping can also help you to remove toxins from the mouth as the entire procedure of digestion begins from the mouth.

    A neti pot alleviates your nasal stuffiness so you can use it keep your nasal passageways clear. Practicing the use of neti pot every day can reduce the occurrence of cold and flu, treat sinus headaches, improve sense of smell and taste and reduce and or completely stop snoring.
