    Ageing Triggers

Ageing is a natural process; it can’t be stopped. The real problem occurs when you start getting old before the age when you are supposed to get old. Carefree lifestyle, wrong eating habits, sleeplessness, excessive consumption of fast food, and lack of exercise accelerate the process of ageing. If you too are troubled by this problem, you can reverse ageing with some lifestyle modifications. Image Courtesy: Getty

    Wrong Eating Habits

A lack of nutritious elements in your diet can speed up ageing. One must refrain from eating too much fried or junk food which deplete the amount of proteins and essential nutrients in our body. This makes our body feel weak and look older than it really is. Image Courtesy: Getty

    Eating Sugary Foods

Too many sweets give us health problems like type 2 diabetes and obesity which put our body at a risk of accelerated ageing. That’s because a process called glycation causes sugars to attach to proteins in collagen and elastin, which can make skin look older. The ageing effects of excess sugar consumption become visible around age 35 and accelerate rapidly after that. Image Courtesy: Getty

Unavailability of Good Fats in Food

In order to lose weight, people often eliminate fats from their diets. But, there is something called good fat e.g. omega 3 fatty acids which are essential for sound health, soft skin, strong heart, sharp brain, and the power to fight diabetes. When there are no omega 3 fatty acids in your diet, cellular inflammation increases which kick starts the process of ageing. Image Courtesy: Getty
