Hair dye has been found to be widely used throughout the world. Since this comes with side effects, it is important to take care of the signs and symptoms that come forth after the use of the product. An allergy pertaining to hair dye may be treated in the following ways:

  • Firstly, thoroughly wash away, without scrubbing out the affected portion, the dye stuck to the scalp and the hair. It is important to note that the ill effects may also lead to infection on the scalp, not only the hair.
  • After the area is clear of the allergen, soak the head into a mixture of ground oat meal and water for a quarter if an hour. This treatment carries soothing properties for the itchy, red scalp.
  • One may opt for a medicated cream that can provide relief to the area of the head where the allergen has done harm.
  • Moreover, there are numerous medicines available over the counter that can help reduce inflammation of the allergic part of the scalp.
