Pregnancy is the most wonderful experience of a woman’s life, but during this period, her body witnesses many changes. Due to these changes, pregnant women experience dizziness, light-headedness and, sometimes, vertigo. The cardiovascular system undergoes remarkable changes; the amount of blood in the body increases by 40-45%, the heart rate increases and it starts pumping more blood per minute.
With every progressing week during pregnancy, the blood pressure level keeps varying. In the initial months, the blood pressure decreases to a certain level; in the mid months, it drops to the lowest and by the end of the pregnancy, it starts getting back to normal. This continuous shift in blood pressure often results in dizziness, which is very common during pregnancy. If you experience faintness, you must visit a doctor.
If you feel pain in your abdomen, consult your doctor immediately. It could also be a case of ectopic pregnancy. Blurred vision, palpitations, numbness accompanied by dizziness can also give rise to serious problems during pregnancy.
What all of you must do is take appropriate precautions and follow what the doctor says. This will help you get through the tumult of faintness with ease.
