Breast cancer starts with the tissues of the breast. There are two types of breast cancer namely, ductal carcinoma (starts from ducts or tubes that that move milk to nipples) and lobular carcinoma (starts from lobules). Some of the conventional treatment methods for this cancer are radiation therapy, chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and surgery. All of them have their share of side-effects but when these conventional lines of treatment are used with ayurvedic remedies, one gets faster results with minimum side effects. According to ayurveda, breast cancer is caused due to imbalance in three doshas namely, vata, pitta and kapha. This imbalance leads to the formulation of cysts leading to breast cancer.

Panchkarma

Panchkarma is the process that cleans vata, pitta and kapha of the patient’s body. It involves snehan (massage), swedan (steam bath) and sirodhara (pouring avurvedic medicines on the forehead of patients).

Smoke treatment is given by burning medicated herbs. This smoke cleans the toxic elements from the patient’s body.

This process is use to get rid of dead cells from the patient’s body. It is very effective in treating breast cancer.

Rasa Rasayan Treatment

This process aims to treat toxic elements that form the basis of breast cancer.

  • Ayurvedic medicines - These medicines are composed of five basic elements that don’t have any side effect. Medicines such as Kamadudha-Ras, Shankh-Vati, Ashwagandha, Shatavari, Laghu-Sutshekhar-Ras and Vishwa are popularly used for treating breast cancer.
  • Rasa Rasayan Therapy: The human body contains elements such as mercury, copper, iron, zinc, sulpher, and silver. Whenever there is a deficiency of any of them, then rasa rasayan therapy is used.
