If you are one of the health freaks, you may replace sugar with honey and drink this tonic first thing in the morning as soon as you wake up.
Another ayurvedic medicine for menstrual disorders is sesame seeds or nuvvulu. Take half a teaspoon of sesame seeds powder with hot water twice daily. It acts as an excellent remedy for reducing spasmodic pain during menstruation in young, unmarried anaemic girls.
If your bleeding is scanty, you must regularly use sesame seeds remedy two days prior to the expected date of your periods to cure the problem. A warm mid-waist bath containing a handful of crushed sesame seeds should be simultaneously taken along with this recipe.
If your menstrual flow is improper, you must eat unripe papaya which helps muscle contraction of the uterus and thus ensure proper blood flow. Papaya is especially helpful when menstruation ceases due to stress or fright in young girls.
Named after the Virgin Mary, marigold flower is useful in easing any pain during menstruation and facilitating menstrual flow. This herb extract should be taken in doses of one tablespoonful twice daily for treating menstrual disorders naturally.
