Cause of Amblyopia is strabismus, an imbalance in the positioning of the two eyes.
Amblyopia or Lazy eye is a condition in which either of the eyes does not acknowledge the images it sees. During the condition the brain does not receive images as it should be resulting in vision impairment and loss of depth perception.
Amblyopia is a poor vision in usually one eye that develops during childhood. The condition affects approximately 2 to 3 out of every 100 children. Amblyopia is the most common cause of visual impairment in childhood.
Treatment for amblyopia involves making the child use the eye with the reduced vision (weaker eye).
